How annoying, I end up in a&e on the 7th off August because of my back, they send me home saying I need an MRI scan and send a Letter to my doctor saying they need to book me in for an MRI, my doctors received this on the 8th of August which I think was fairly quick getting the letter the next day (Im impressed). My back then goes again on Friday 29 August and managed to get an appointment at the doctors same day at 5.10 that night (again Im impressed) I saw a locum (lovely man) because my doctor has just gone on his annual leave (fair enough we are all entitled to that). I tell the locum about my back and he says how long has this been going on, I says since May, his says since May thats not right for it to be going on so long something should have been done sooner , I tell him I ended up in a&e and he says oh yes Ive seen a letter from the hospital on the 8th of May - he reads it an says they are saying you need to be referred from us for an MRI, but I can not see on the system that your doctor has done that, I will do that for you now (Im was not impressed with my doctor) he saw the agony I was in 2 to 3 times I saw him since May, for 3 weeks nothing was done. I was so angry, they wonder why people get angry and abusive and start moaning, it makes a mockery of the posts they put up in their surgery saying we will not tolerate abusive patients in our surgery, well if they pulled their socks up and did things in a timely manner especially when that patient is in agony, people would not fly of the handle. Thankyou to the locum Doctor for being on the ball.
