How beautiful a rose is! It smells nice and it looks nice but at the end, it withers away, losing its charm! Allah ordered His Messenger salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam not to be deceived by this world or by the splendor of this life. Allah told us that this is all a test to mankind. He also told us that the reality of life is similar to a rose. Yet, people cling to it as if they will stay in it forever. A ruler, who reigned for years thinking he was immortal, lost it all as if it was never there! A marriage that went on for decades, ends up in seconds with a single word! The strength, beauty and youth that ruled for years, turn into wrinkled skin and white hair. What are you waiting for? Do you think whatever you have will last forever? Well, think twice! O Allah, don’t derive us from a favor of yours because of our sins and make us steadfast on Islam.
