How come most computer generated internet posted show flyers stink compared to early 80s hand made show flyers posted on telephone poles or in records stores? Sure there were stinkers back then too; simple magic marker-ed info crudely rendered, but even for many small shows and lesser known bands, people put some effort and artistic talent (and time) into the creation, and that is why those flyers and posters were treasured, and are now sought after as collectors items, and put in books. Today it is the most basic four coloured, shadowed letters, too much info crammed into a meme sized rectangle with bad resolution repros of a bands logo or pictures. I have seen some good ones, but it should be way more as the possibilities computers offer even to the most un-artistic are undeniable.
