How coveted is the Nov. 438(Cadomin) Trophy Sheep tag? Albertas 438 tags are under fire again. Guys are getting drawn and not hunting the tags, quitting early due to the physical toughness of the hunt. Some guys think this is do to the draw being far to cheap and getting lots if guys just applying not really caring about the hunt and putting in little effort. These guys feel that if guys had to put a bit more out to obtain the tag they would be more apt to put every effort possible to utilize the tag. But some also feel that upping the cost makes it a rich man sport. In alberta its the same cost of $3 to get a mule deer doe as it is a nov. Rut trophy sheep. Tag cost for bighorn us $20 more than for a mule deer doe. So what do you guys think, should the highly coveted tag be valued more? Would a higher cost stop guys from applying? What would you guys pay top end for this draw and tag?
