How did you celebrate Veterans Day? The time period that we put - TopicsExpress

How did you celebrate Veterans Day? The time period that we put aside to remember. It might sound corny; but I mainly internalize an overwhelming, enjoyable sense of pride for our country. I am a blessed man. My wife and I both share many things. One being we both served our country in the U.S Army. On holidays like Veterans Day I don’t just think of veterans. I think about many things that makes this country so great. Just the fact that people can publicly disagree with anything makes this old soldiers heart fill with pride. I don’t dwell in the past. Instead I take my past and optimize my training and experience to promote a better future. The United States flag is not just a piece of cloth consisting of thirteen stripes of red and blue and 50 stars. It is a symbol of a lot of things, to include many sacrifices. I take all the before mentioned beliefs and thought and aim them towards my goal to become your Sheriff. As your Sheriff I will strengthen the quality of all the services that the Sheriffs’ Office connects with. Standing up and doing the right can be arduous, but it strengthens a person, an organization and a community. Especially when completed without any hidden agenda. Every program will have clarity. With my training and experience we will successfully accomplish the following tasks: (not in order of precedence) • Obtain state certification for our jail. • Improve law enforcement coverage for our county. • Improve volunteer and reserve programs. • Improve training for employees and allow community members to be involved in the majority of that training. • Improve security for our schools. • Have a community partnership. I have first-hand experience on getting every one of the above tasks accomplished. I am not like the little locomotive, “I think I can, I think I can”. I am the person with the best training and experience to get the job completed at a level of quality not yet experienced here before. A vote of confidence for Dave Schuman in 2016 will bring all these tasks and more to fruition and continue to give this community the quality of service that Boundary County deserves. All this will be conducted without riding the backs of our community. In other words, no unreasonable tax increases or obligatory grants will ever be recommended by me. All areas of resources will be used without burdening our community. People that cause the problems are the people that need to fix the problems. Thank you and God Bless America. Dave Schuman, Candidate for Boundary County Sheriff in 2016
