How difficult is it to see a grown up man being shell shocked at - TopicsExpress

How difficult is it to see a grown up man being shell shocked at first and then crying like a baby, because he got the news of his parents’ accident? How difficult is it to see him getting short of breath, shivering, shaking? How difficult is it to hear him asking his relatives if his mother was alive, if his father would make it? How difficult is it to see him praying, on his knees, for his parents’ safety? How difficult is it to ensure him that everything would be fine, even when you yourself don’t know a thing about what’s happening there in the hospital, miles away? I would answer all these questions, because I went through all this today. The mere thought of losing your parents is a spine-chilling one, and I went through the fear even though it was someone else who was suffering it in real. Tonight, I won’t ask my mother to make a cup of tea after I go home. Tonight, I won’t ask my father to not have that extra piece of dessert. Tonight, I would not argue with them on anything, even if I am right. Tonight, I would silently thank my stars for having them in my life, and I would pray, after a long time, for their long life. Hope you do so too; and if you have been through the pain of living the pain that I talked about, I am sorry, I really am sorry for your loss. Until next time, Nandini
