How do I stay focused on the positive when my mind wants to focus on the negative? In these moments it is important to accept exactly where you are. If your mind wants to focus on the negative, accept it. Don’t judge it. Take a step back and remind yourself it is possible to shift that focus and that perception. All it takes is a moment. A glimmer of hope, of faith to refocus and remind ourselves that we are likely living in a past train of thought or future-tripping when feeling the ‘negativity.’ It is difficult to solely be focused on the positive all the time. There are moments when thoughts and ideas arise within us that are uncomfortable, frustrating and we could classify as ‘negative.’ The key word here is that they are thoughts. Nothing more. We have the ability to change the thought process. To not ‘pick up’ the thoughts and remember to focus on the here and now. In the here and now, the present moment, we have all that we desire and need. Our souls have infinite amounts of everything. Our built in forgetters like to take this reality away from us. So now, when I catch myself living in the negative, I have the ability to shift this thinking and allow for faith and hope into my life. How do you stay focused on the positive?
