How do We love Open Bard? Let us count the ways: 1. We love seeing the ever changing aggregate of our audience! 2.There are a few who have come to every Thursday in our series, those who bought a Bard Card in September and have used it faithfully! We applaud your commitment and hope you have been entertained and uniquely inspired each time. 3. Our open mic is consistently thrilling and surprising! Wow! We have so many great writers and performers! 4. The warmth and generosity of spirit is always breathtaking. 5. We, Beth Paulson and I, created this series and maintain it but without a small army of volunteers, eager participants, and support, Open Bard would not be the wild success that it has become! 6. The age range is always exciting --8-80 one night. We had younger kids in Februarys youth night of course... 7. Our posters are so eye-catching! Thank you Ashley King! 8. The Sherbino! What an incredible Ridgway venue. It melds the past with present, seats our mobs and wets our whistles! 9. John Clark who believed in us from the start and who is the heart of the Sherbino Theatre. 10. Ouray County Performing Arts Guild, Mosaic Community Project, the Ouray Library, The Ridgway Library, Blue Corn Naturals, Goodlight Natural Candles, and the Chautauqua Society for start up funds and a venue with mics, tables and a great sound system. Got to love this town ! 11. Because who doesnt love odd numbers? Our poets have been so great!! Next years lineup will be fresh and wildly entertaining! Well finalize it by August for the 14-15 Series.
