How do you catch a wild pig? In Papua New Guinea, when they want - TopicsExpress

How do you catch a wild pig? In Papua New Guinea, when they want to capture wild pigs they simply begin to feed them. Once the pigs have become accustomed to feeding in a particular place, a wall is built. This frightens the pigs and they wont return for several days. Eventually though, the lure of free food will bring them back. Once theyve become accustomed to the wall, another is built and the process of avoiding the area out of fear, overcoming the fear for the prize of free food and eventual return to the feeding area is repeated. A third wall is then added and the process is repeated once again. Finally the fourth wall is constructed leaving a large opening through which the pigs can go in and out freely. Once they are again comfortable with arrangement a gate is added but left open. After a few days someone will hide in the forest near the feeding area and, when the pigs are safely within the fold, will close and latch the gate. At first the pigs will run about in a frenzy of fear and anger, realizing they are now trapped and cannot escape. Eventually though they will settle down and resign themselves to eating the food of their captivity. They become so reliant on the food provided they can no longer fend for themselves. How do you enslave over 300 million Americans? Same way.
