How funny are we humans? When I first came across coaching I was convinced that I could help everyone and yet didnt need a coach myself! So, my lesson began... Wasted time, costly mistakes and a now diffused ego taught me otherwise. Today I have a number of different coaches who are world class in their area of expertise... Theyve taught me so much more than Id have ever done on my own. I am grateful beyond words and humbled by being taught, corrected and challenged to be more than I had previously dreamt... They believed in me sooo much I started to do the same and take huge leaps of faith that paid off in many ways. When I first saw their fees, some were tens of thousands of pounds... So I excluded myself and invested small... Then the penny dropped. I didnt really value my investment. So with a credit card and a huge prayer, I said to God, if Im meant to do this, this money that I invest will give me big rewards. I was scared and excited that I was doing this for me as it felt selfish and indulgent. The lessons I have had far exceed the investment in time and money. My confidence has grown as they have shown me how to make wise choices. So today, I dont go it alone, I advocate team work for executing the best plan for my life using my gifts and talents. Ive been gently shown my blind spots as well as shown the skills and knowledge I needed to gain to get where I dreamt. If Id kept on doing it alone I would have wasted years and lost all direction and probably my home. How clever would I have really been? How many of you feel the same about the people whove helped you in your life? Make sure you invest wisely... Sometimes that will mean time and hard earned money that isnt readily available... But if it were ... Everyone would do it... And youre not everyone!!! Have a great week.
