How greedy people are. I wonder how people who work for insurance companies can live with themselves. I have two friends- one with cancer and the other with Vasculitis , who had to quit her job as she is so sick- she was put on 1000 mg of prednazone. In any case- now that the insurance companies are not allowed to say NO to anyone, including those with preexisting conditions, they are moving their NO down the line- They are saying NO to the oncologist recommended treatments that my friend with the tumor needs, and they are saying NO to long term disability to my friend who had to quit her job - both people are being stonewalled and there is nothing they can do- Fighting the insurance companies while you are sick makes you sicker….as long as Insurance is FOR PROFIT, we are all screwed. The bottom line trumps the needs of patients…..and it is a crime. The Republicans should be ashamed of themselves for stonewalling Obama- and Obama should be ashamed of himself for giving in to them…….The insurance companies can say no to treatment with impunity- and there is nothing a patient can do except die, or give up….fighting them is like fighting windmills…..Seeing my two friends up against these corporations is making me sick.
