How has your day been, Paul? Well, let me tell you...got up this morning and had my coffee, then Chad and I went to the Ranch with his dad to pick up a trunk...Ok, stay with me here...The ranch is through the dirt roads. Once we are there, we walk around the water tank and then head over to the barn that is about to fall down. Ok, now we are inside...the show box is at least 400 lbs (now I know why I was invited) and while we are in the barn, I bash my head on a falling down piece of wood. After my near concussion, we cut the lock off said show box (and I am thinking it has gold in it) to find a bunch of steer and pig grooming materials with dirt dobber nests all over them. Dust and dirt flying everywhere, we (Chad and I) carry the 400 lb show box out of the barn to the truck though brush and mesquite and gopher holes. Once we are fully gritty, we get back in the truck to drive the ranch. Ok, now we are heading home to have lunch. I want to shower, but told I might want to wait until we unload the 400 lb show Box from the truck. Lunch consisted of chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, fried okra, corn and black eyed peas. Very happy!! Head stopped hurting and the dirt does not seem as bad... Now, out to unload the 400 lb show box to go through it. Really? Go through it? Finally was allowed to shower...I am dreaming of the days sitting by the tennis courts with a martini in my hand...cant wait to see what tomorrow brings...
