How holding on too tight can be the death of you One thing I - TopicsExpress

How holding on too tight can be the death of you One thing I can remember from my adventures with my mom was that she would always say whilst galavanting through the crowded Durban streets in the 80s was don’t let go of my hand. I made sure that I held on to that hand for dear life. That hand represented safety and security. In my progression through life I often stayed in a job or a relationship longer than I should have because that thing represented safety and security and letting go meant uncertainty and loss. I could have probably saved myself some heartache and regret but the thought of letting go was so overwhelming that I’d rather be unhappy than alone with nothing to depend on. Life is such that when you blink its Jan and you blink again and it’s December the year goes by so quickly that you don’t even know where the time went. Sometimes we make a choice that years later we think ‘why did I stay that long’ and we stay even longer after realization because now we think ‘ay there’s nothing better’. Why do you deserve to live a just okay life a nothing better life? Life is guaranteed to no one. Steve Jobs died a multi billionaire in dollars he had created technology that has changed the course of history and he died. But when he died I’m sure he could look back and say I Lived, I tried, I conquered. He didn’t live an okay life he didn’t live a nothing better life. Why are you still holding on to the things that don’t serve you and your purpose anyone? That make you sick to your stomach that leave you in tears? Stop holding on too tight it can end up being the death of you.
