How ignorant do you think the American public is ? I did not vote - TopicsExpress

How ignorant do you think the American public is ? I did not vote for Obama, nor would I vote for him now but that is NOT the issue here. Obama used his voice and standing to say he would not bargain with congress over the health care program. I do not like anything about Obama care but that is a totally separate issue. It has been upheld by the highest court in the land so if you want to dispute it or eliminate it then you need to take the correct action to do so. The CONGRESS is the one to blame for shutting down the government and no one else. You cannot blame the president for an action, or inaction for this. NO BILL HAS BEEN PASSED BY ANY HOUSE IN CONGRESS. Whether Congress fears the president will override the bill or not you cannot proceed with impeachment proceedings on the president when no bill has ever been presented for approval or rejection. This is a simple redirection of ANIMOSITY, FEAR, and ANGER that the American public has over the inability of government to accomplish ANYTHING meaningful for the American public. America has already fallen in the eyes of people, and governments around the world because of its lack of ability to govern itself as we promote and demand at times for other countries to move toward democracy. Democracy was supposed to be government putting forth laws that promote the direction and will of the people. For the People, By the People for the betterment of ALL. The question remains unspoken and unresolved because the only thing congress is willing to do is engage the media in misdirection because of its inability to do ANYTHING. There is currently NO bill going to the president for approval, or disapproval at this point. Can we really blame the presidency no mater WHO is in office for congress refusing to have an honest debate to move the country forward? To impune the president for his stand on negotiating on the health care act as congress holds the nation hostage is the real crime. The health care act has been put into law and as congress continues to debate and change direction as to who is to blame and who is responsible. REALLY !!!!!!! Did we not elect honorable people to go to our nations capitol to fight for our rights, our beliefs, our desires, and our needs. It seems that the only way forward is to take a step back and look at who we elected and who is not doing the job they were hired to do. I am sure the congressmen have valid thoughts on why they are turning America into a nation of doubt and despair but this has implications way beyond what is happening in America. The whole world is watching and learning what can happen when the people elected to run the government are so engulfed in their own ideals, greed, impotence, ignorance, and inability to be able to look at the BIG picture that they will do ANYTHING to get there own way. Can we please find someone willing to give of themselves to help the betterment of others without throwing a tantrum and taking us into anarchy.
