How is it not an objectification of women when we compare women to - TopicsExpress

How is it not an objectification of women when we compare women to objects in order to argue that the way we would not leave our property, our precious objects (shops/things) unprotected and lying around in full public view to be snatched/stolen, we should restrict presence of women in public realm and encourage/persuade/impose dress code on women? It is disappointing, and even shocking, to come across (mostly) men pontificating about how women should dress - be it in the name of capitalist consumerism or religious piety. If both reduce women to objects to be desired/controlled, they both should be challenged.
