If the investigation results in a change to your credit report, the creditor is required to let all three credit bureaus know. Your Updated Credit Reports are sent back to you. If the credit bureau finds that the information disputed is inaccurate or unverifiable, its required to remove it from your credit report. The credit bureau must also notify the creditor that its been removed. The credit bureau will forward to you an updated credit report with the results of the investigation.
