How many of us have fallen into the trap that we are not good enough for God to love us? Well, part of that is true. Without accepting Jesus as our Savior and the sacrifice of His blood to make us righteous in front of God through Him, we will never be good enough. However, the other part is a lie from the pit of hell... The accuser of the brethren (satan) would have us believe that God doesnt love us to keep us separated from Him. God loves us no matter what... However, in order to spend eternity in Heaven, we must ask Jesus to be Lord of our Life and to turn away from sin. Sure, we will fall short every day, but we have the blessed hope of Jesus, who died for every sin we have and will commit. And as long as we keep getting up and asking for forgiveness, truly repenting from our sin and striving to live better, asking for forgiveness when we do fail, we will spend eternity in Heaven. God sees the intentions of the heart. The apostle Paul said that he worked out his salvation with fear and trembling. Just saying the sinners prayer once is not enough; its how we live; in relationship with Jesus. Sarah Youngs reading for today puts it very well, the way Jesus would say it: ... You are holy and blameless in My sight. Let these words of blessing sink into your heart, mind, and spirit. You may find it hard to believe this amazing truth because you know that you fall short of My holy standard EVERY SINGLE DAY. Indeed, you are not holy and blameless IN YOURSELF, and you WILL NEVER BE SINLESS IN THIS LIFE. Nonetheless, in My sight you are GLORIOUSLY RIGHTEOUS. When you trusted Me as Savior, you gave Me all your sins--past, present, and future--and I gave you My perfect righteousness. this is an eternal exchange, securing your place in My royal family forever. ... This was a most costly transaction for Me. Your REDEMPTION, THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS WAS ACCOMPLISHED THOUGH MY BLOOD--poured out freely BECAUSE I LOVE YOU. I want you to ponder HOW WIDE AND LONG AND HIGH AND DEEP IS THIS VAST OCEAN OF LOVE I HAVE FOR YOU
