How much is $1 Dollar when your homeless and trying to get off the - TopicsExpress

How much is $1 Dollar when your homeless and trying to get off the streets. Just ask Deputy Krager when advocating for those that are trying to get off the streets and suffering from debilitating physical and mental health disorders. The first step to recovery is a stable mind and body sometimes requiring a list of prescriptions funded by Hillsborough Health Care coverage. But, when the poorest of poor dont have the total sum of $5 or $10 Dollars for thier prescription needs what does an advocate like deputy Krager do? She goes the top of the chain, the dececsion makers with County Health care and argues her side of the story on the streets and how just a $1 Dollar prescription co-pay for a chronic homeless person with multiple precscriptions can be a big hurdle for those wanting a stable path to rehousing. Well, Deputy Krager admittely wont take credit for the sudden shift in policy concering indigent co-pays; however, as of August 1, 2014, $1 Dollar co-pays for prescriptions are no longer required thanks to the gracious and benevolent Director and executive staff at Hillsborough County Health Care who take the time to listen to those they are trying to help! Thanks You! Hillsborugh County Health Care! DEP D/K
