How my EBC Membership worked for me today: 1) I meet Osvaldo Carriazo (Ozzie), a fellow member and a candidate for nicest person on the planet, at the Saturday rides; 2) I notice that Ozzies position on his bike is always perfect, he always looks comfortable and he can drop the hammer efficiently; 3) I ask Ozzie where he got fitted and he succinctly states Juan Marrero is the only person who touches my bike; 4) I take my friend and fellow EBC member, Carmen Rosabal Hiers, to get fitted by Juan Marrero, whom I quickly nickname Yoda, for his immense knowledge of all things cycling; 5) Yoda fitted me today, for an absurdly low price. He took his time and pointed out that my seat was 15 mm too far back, 1 cm too tall and my stem was 20 mm too short; 6) I shot over to a bike shop and found the stem I needed. Since Im an EBC member, they gave me a 10% discount 7) Yoda installed my new stem and 20+ers, get ready, Yoda said I was losing 15-20% power because of the incorrect position.
