How often do we reflect that WE have a role to play in every DUA we request for. The 1st part of Doa spells DO ie me & u must act. The 2nd part of dua spells A ie rely on ALLAH to answer requests. Eg in this dua we say- O ALLAH gladden the people of the graves (but do we recite Sura Fatiha for marhumeen?) O ALLAH enrich every poor person (do we pay zakat/khums to help the poor?) O ALLAH, satisfy every hungry one (do we feed the homeless on Sundays @6pm?) O ALLAH help every debtor pay his debts (do we loan a brother £ in times of need?) O ALLAH correct every wrong in the affairs of the Muslims (have we played a part in bringing justice to this world?) O ALLAH cure every sick one (do we visit the hospital & assist the unwell?) O ALLAH ease our poverty by Your wealth (do we go out daily & work hard to earn halal?) In essence, all this dua is highlighting OUR responsibility to play a part for the betterment of society. Be the change you want to see in this world. Salawat Allahumma swalle alaa Mohammadiw wa aale Mohammad wa ajjil farajahum.
