How often do you get to photograph three WWII Veterans in a row? Especially as handsome as these guys? L/R Mr. Ed Bruchas (US Army) - you know him from previous posts and of his participation in regards to the island of Tinian (of Fat Boy fame). Here he is with his lovely wife Irene of 62 years! Mr. and Mrs Bruchas are to be the King and Queen of the Hendersonville Holiday Fest - how marvelous! Next is Mr. Tom Grissop (US Army) - he did his tour in the European theatre (Germany) - all he said about it was The worst part of it was that is was colder than hell. Finally, Mr. Jack Smith (US Navy). He served aboard the MSO Agusta which was torpedoed. Then on other ships - The Thomas Stone - doing supply missions in Europe and Africa. He told me how on one mission they carried mules to Sicily and Sardenia - because none of the mechanized vehicles could handle the terrain! I actually dug up a photo of a delivery! I vaguely remember a movie when I was a kid about a war mule named Francis - but that is all I remember. If anyone remembers the name of the show, let me know!!!! Thank you gentlemen, for your service and for sharing your stories!!!! Good night and God Bless!
