How often does marumarket have replacement products? Heres how we performed at Christmas...... On the 23rd and 24th of December I delivered over 500 items. Out of those 500 items, how many do you think we failed to deliver or had to use replacement items? The answer is 2 failed and 1 replacement. Here’s what they were…. Little Gem lettuce was replaced with Romaine Lettuce These are very similar items Curly Kale - The customer had ordered 3 other varieties of cabbage too so we didn’t replace it. 2 Rhubarb Yogurts - Human error (by me) – I packed them in the wrong box. (There were a few other items such as bags of tomatoes which we had to replace with loose ones, but I haven’t included these it was a packaging replacement, rather than an item replacement.) As for salad items, all our salad was delivered with use-by date of at least 27th of December. Our wholesale delivery arrived early on Monday 23rd Dec. This meant that we had a frantic time in the morning re-packing the salad items to make sure that all of our customers had fresh produce for Christmas. Tracey and Jade from Fresh N Fruit were fantastic and worked really hard to make sure all our customers could enjoy the freshest available produce for Christmas. This was marumarket’s first Christmas and I must admit to being quite nervous beforehand. But thanks to the hard work of my suppliers I think we gave a fantastic service to be proud of. The customer feedback was very positive and it seems like we’ve improved from the previous feedback survey which I carried out earlier in the year. I’m always trying to improve the service and comments are always very welcome! As small business owners, both myself at marumarket, and our supplying shops recognize and understand how important it is to keep our customers happy. To do this we have to provide fresh produce – especially at key times like Christmas when food is even more important to people. We know that if we give a poor performance then customers will not return. And as small business owners this directly affects us as without customers we have no income. I think it goes to demonstrate just how committed we are to building a reliable service that you can trust.
