How our Navuans rated in match against Ba: 1. Sheik Moshin (keeper). Wonderful diving save from Maveliko Nakama. Showed great character, bravery and fighting spirit to carry on despite hurting his injured shoulder. Rating: 8 out of 10. 2. Iliesa Lino (centre back): Matched Osea Vakatalesau pace for pace and was equally aggressive. Saved a certain Ba goal with a headed goalline clerance. Shone through in his new sweeping position. Rating: 8 out of 10. 3. Rajnil Chand (centre-back): unfortunately had to be replaced after only 15 minutes with a nasty knee injury. Looks set to miss this weekends trip to Labasa. 4. Nazir Hussein (left-back): The veteran player did what was asked of him and kept Abbu Zahid and Osea at bay in his own way. Stood firm at the back. Still has what it takes to take on the young boys. Just needs proper motivation. Rating: 7 out of 10. 5. Simione Damuni (right-back): Keeps improving with every game. Rock solid. Hardly gave Meli Codro and Abbu the chance to dominate his flanks. Abbu barely came his way after a couple of tight tussles!!!! Rating: 8 out of 10. 6. Rajnesh Raju (holding mid-fielder): Tailor-made for this position. Cut out several Ba attacks with his timely interceptions. Gave the perfect through ball that led to Monit Chand in a one-on-one with the Ba keeper. Rating: 8 out of 10. 7. Simione Maikali (centre-link): Sparkled in his new position by commanding play in mid-field. Good distribution and also had a few decent attempts at goal. Rating: 9 out of 10. 8. Akesh Kumar (right-midfielder): His first start after three substitute appearances last year. A young player who is just as talented as his dad, former Navua rep Anup Kumar. Gave in a decent performance. Rating: 7 out of 10. 9. Monit Chand (left-link): Mesmerized the opposition with his dribbling skills and time and again thread his way through the opposition defence. Missed an absolute sitter in the 70th minute with scores at 0-0 by hitting the upright when through on goal. Rating: 9 out of 10. 10. Netani Doli (striker): Should have had a penalty in the first few minutes. Later when he was taken out again, this time by the keeper on the edge of the box, the Ba keeper should have been sent-off as he was the last defender and there was cover for him. Questionable decision by referee Dina Mani, only a yellow card. Combined well with Inia Boko. Missed some decent chances and half chances. Got hurt early but carried on. Rating: 7 out of 10. 11. Inia Boko (striker): Showed his allegiance to former coach and friend MK and came all the way via Kings Road from Nausori all by himself to play. Made some good runs and had a powerful strike go just over the crossbar. Had only trained for three days in Rewa. Will add firepower to the Delta Tigers when he teams up with them in the next transfer window. A huge loss to Navua soccer and we cant do much as he has already given his word to the RFA and moved with his family there following the fall-out with the former president. Rating: 7 out of 10. 12. Rizwan Ali (substitute for Rajnil): Blended in well and played beyond expectations. With a little more solid training and proper guidance he will become a key player. Rating 7 out of 10. Other subs used late in the game were youngsters Iliavi Katonibau and Filipe Tuinadave. Coach: Kameli Kilawaca. First game in his new role and a good start. No interference by any ov
