How should one react to a legislator that tells a Citizen to - TopicsExpress

How should one react to a legislator that tells a Citizen to violate laws supported by that same politician? I find it difficult to get my head around such entreaties by elected officials who admit that in their thirst for power, sitting on the side of wrong is permissible, or at the least prudent and in so being, necessary to their existence AS a legislator. Smells to me of Taqiyya, or the allowed act of lying that Islamist use to further a cause... Alas, we need a Mr. Smith to go to Nashville.
