** How should your foot land? ** A huge debate this one. But the key factor in my view is not about forefoot, barefoot, midfoot or any other type of foot. Its about where your foot comes into contact with the ground. I.e. Underneath your centre of gravity And what it does I.e. Moves backwards on or before impact. The video here, although it shows a sprinter (the Bolt himself!) displays what I mean. Watch his lead foot in particular. Before it lands it is moving backwards. On impact his knee is almost over his ankle. The majority of runners today will find that their foot is moving FORWARD as they come into contact with the ground, and that their knee is well behind their ankle on landing. This CAN be changed for the good, it wont be easy, possibly wont be pleasant but it will be fun - that is exactly what RunCamp is all about. Making running enjoyable and helping you understand. youtu.be/4QrlPmK4B94
