How stupid it is for our Government to push through with this program without even addressing first all the existing problems within our Public education system. Our students are already deprived of quality education due to many unfavorable factors such as the lack of conducive classrooms where they could study, the outdated and often poorly written textbooks, the ratio of 1 teacher in a class of 70 students, night shifts due to lack of classrooms, teachers pre-occupied with commerce due to low salary such as selling tocino, tinapa, bibinka and bananaque instead of spending more of their time in updating and honing their teaching skills etc...etc... Address all of these first which should be the Governments top priority. If we have a good education system for our country then we would have a better chance of alleviating the problem of poverty, criminality, ignorance etc...in this country.
