How to deal with this type of situation? We took a designing project (Magazine), everything was going as per our plan....some of the designing part was ruined from our side because client made us do last minute changes which was not discussed. Still we did it and was ok with it. But when the final output came out, it was disappointing. As printer changed the page size and did horrible cutting/binding...besides that he made few other mistakes. Normal people might not notice all this, but from designers point of view the final output was unsatisfactory. The problem is, we cannot go and tell everyone as what really happened behind the scene. As people just judge what they see, as we were the designing partner they will blame us only. Even we cant show it to other/new clients. If people see that work, they may not approach us thinking they dont have that much skills or whatever. P.S. The printer was not the one who we already knew...he was selected by the client.
