How to get a bat out of your living room or bedroom: 1. Put on very thick gloves or get a thick towel. This is so the bat cant bite you. All mammals are susceptible to rabies so be sure not to handle wild mammals with bare hands. 2. Wait until the bat lands on a wall or in a corner of the room. Use a ladder to climb high enough to reach the bat with your gloved hand or towel. Gently grasp the bat and take it down. 3. Preferably, release the bat at nightfall. If that isnt possible, put the bat on a tree limb with a lot of foliage to conceal it from predators at least 6 feet off the ground.
