How to loose weight in a healthy manner 1. Remember, nobody can achieve and maintain his/ her desired weight with 13 day or 1 month or 3 months of dieting. One should always try to adopt a healthy life style. I’m not saying that you don’t lose weight with diet plans. Offcourse, you do if you follow them strictly but once you go back and start eating regular food you start gaining again and perhaps you gain more weight than before. For that reason, you need to change your lifestyle. Incorporate healthy ingredients in your daily food. From today, Use Olive oil instead of regular cooking oil. Use honey instead of sugar. Say no to soft / carbonated / packed drinks. Stop consuming junk and processed foods. Start today coz there’s no tomorrow! 2. You just need to eat clean and proper. Calculate your macros and calories according to your height and weight and eat accordingly. It’s pretty simple to know what to eat and what to refuse. 3. Have a glass of lemon water first thing in the morning when you wake up, don’t add sugar or salt to it. Very very amazing for fat loss OR You could even have a glass of grape fruit juice if it’s in season. That’s works so intense on fat. 4. Drink LOTS of water and keep yourself hydrated. Drink 2 glasses of luke warm water on an empty stomach (incase you cant take lemon water). Drink atleast 20 glasses of water a day. It’ll flush out all the toxins from your body. You’ll feel fresh and your skin will start glowing. 5. Include physical activity in your life. Spare an hour for walk, exercise or yoga. 6. Take atleast 4 cups of green tea a day coz it helps lowering the bad cholesterol hence makes you lose weight. 7. Never deprive yourself! Take 5 small meals a day. Try to eat healthy as much as you can. If you are craving for something, Have it! But in moderation. Don’t go crazy on it. For example if your family is having pizza and you really wanna have it, take a small piece and eat it coz if you wont, you might eat half of it later in the evening So never deprive yourself coz it will increase your craving! 8. Control your portion size. Don’t use big plates and big bowls on your table. Don’t stuff your plate with food. Take small bites and chew well. Don’t eat in hurry. Sit and relax while eating. Research shows that the people who eat while watching TV or working on laptop consume way more than the people who concentrate on their food only. 9. Eating healthy is not all boring! Yes, trust me. You can make it interesting by experimenting with your food. You can prepare diet biryani, oats haleem, Egg fried rice, tikka, barbecued chicken, sautéed veggies, lemon roast, steaks, soups, salads etc. there are a lot of options and a wide variety of choices. 10. Motivate Yourself! Make a Diet Diary! Buy a cute diary and title it as ‘My diet diary”. Write you current weight and the target you wanna achieve, write the time span. Write whatever you ate during a day on it before sleeping and see if you ate any junk or any unhealthy stuff. Reward yourself with something if you followed healthy diet during the whole week. (Reward shouldn’t be in the form of junk food, lolz). 11. Treat yourself with a cheat meal after 2 weeks of healthy eating. But it should be a cheat meal not a cheat day, lol. Eat whatever you like, chocolate, Ice cream, Pizza anything! Meals: 1. Breakfast : B.F is the MOST important meal of the day. NEVER SKIP IT! Not having breakfast is the main reason of obesity. Therefore, always start your day with a healthy breakfast. There are so many choices.. - Oats porridge with Fruits and nuts (oats are very rich in fiber and they’re good carbs. Keeps you full for good 4 – 5 hours) - Oats Smoothie - Boiled egg with tea - Veggie omlette with a teaspoon of olive oil - A slice of brand bread with peanut butter - Fruits ( Apple, pear, peach, strawberry, papaya etc) - A hand full of nuts ( Almonds, peanuts, walnuts etc) - Seeds ( sesame seeds, sunflower seeds etc) 2. Afternoon snack: - If you feel hungry in between the b.f and lunch time. You can have something as a snack. Again alot of options.. - Oats biscuits - Fruit yogurt - Almonds - Carrots sticks with hummus - Cucumber sticks - Steamed broccoli 3. Lunch: - A Bowl of Fresh salad - Oats Haleem - Grilled Chicken / Grilled Fish - Boiled brown rice - Shami kebabs - Lentil soup - Veggie soup 4. Snack: - A cup of green tea with boiled egg - Fruit yogurt - Oats biscuits 5. Dinner: Dinner time is in between 6 pm to 7 pm. Make sure you have your dinner between this time. - Steamed Chicken / Fish with fresh salad - Lentil soup with salad - Chicken soup - Veggie soup - Steamed french beans I’ve listed only few options here, but the options are infinite. Try experimenting with your food. Replace unhealthy ingredients with the healthy ones and you’ll eat healthy without compromising on the taste of your food.
