Howdy folks. As some of you may have noticed, we took down a TShirt add for a recent addition to the group. I had some concerns that their motivation may or may not have been in line with what were trying to do here at Chive NL (or Chive709...love that!). When I investigated further, the facebook profile was blank and just started, the id of the person was no where to be found in a phone book or yellow pages or even online. The person, when questioned could not provide a business number to confirm that the TShirt sales were legit. So, for future reference, heres what youll see here with regards to ANY TShirt sales: 1) If its not from us, itll say so. We want to be sure who we associate with. 2) If the sales of items are from us, there will be regular pics posted here of bank statements, reciepts for expenditures and reciepts for charitible donations. We want this above board! We have no problem supporting people raising money for charity, be it our own crowd or a different group altogether, however we do not want any scandals pertaining to shady dealings or missing money. One only needs look at what happened at Mud Immortal to know how damaging something like that could be. We want everything above board. The admins are working towards getting this group incorporated as a not for profit group and creating the bank account with multiple signatures required. As that happens, youll see it here first.
