Hrrrmmmm... Interesting Development. A Phoenix newspaper yesterday said that the Suns are planning to AGGRESSIVELY pursue Lebron James as well, come July 1st. The Suns currently are about $34-Million UNDER the salary cap, and have the flexibility to create an additional $10 million in space through waivers/amnesty, without unloading young talent like Eric Bledsoe, Goran Dragic, Gerald Green, & Miles Plumlee. They state that: Within hours of free agency starting on Tuesday, both James ($20.8 million last year) and Carmelo Anthony ($22.4 million last year) have MAX contract starting-salaries that are easily reachable for the Suns organization, unlike the situation in Miami. The Suns also have three 1st round picks in 2015, which could help improve the roster whether theyre traded for veterans or used on young talent. I know Lebron said he didnt want to play in the Western Conference, but the allures of a MAX contract (that he is demanding so much) and the potential of playing alongside Carmelo is there --- AND James agent, Rich Paul, also represents Suns-star Eric Bledsoe. basketball.realgm/wiretap/233992/Suns-Plan-Aggressive-Pursuit-For-LeBron-James
