Huge fire down on Algonquin River Road -- large Barrington Hills home less than 1/4 mile as the crow files from us --- our Paul Lehde was the first on the scene -- no one home -- but he managed to release all of the Dobies and Maltese from their kennels with the flames less than 30 feet from him and the dogs. He had to break open several kennel doors. Had one left to release when the fire departmrnt arrived and told him to leave --- In a very scout like manner he replied "F-NO - I am getting this last dog out" and he broke the kennel lock and released the dogs. Now he needs a good hot shower to get rid of all the black smoke he inhaled. The home is totally engulfed and no one was home.
