Huge opinion on the Lions loss: Not too disappointed in the loss today in Green Bay because most of us were just hoping they could end that streak. The Lions nation knew it would take luck to win at Lambeau. With that said, 11-5 and a playoff spot is still more than most expected. Lions defense kept the team in the game in the first half. Im surprised the Lions didnt bring second half pressure on Rodgers after he got hurt. Suh didnt stomp on Rodgers intentionally so I think hell avoid a suspension. Im still concerned about the offense and a lack of flow to it. I dont get not throwing on first down early in games more. Why not take multiple deep shots down the field more often? Why are there no hurry up sets on offense. I know its a patchwork offensive line but the offense needs more creativity. Its looks predictable in most sets. Staffords lack of progression to the next level is more glaring than ever before. His set up on easy throws never looks balanced. He cant miss big plays in big games. He needs to be better starting next week for the Lions to have any shot at winning a playoff game. Its all not on him but offenses start and end with solid QB play. Another thing that hurts the offense is rookie tight end Eric E-Drop looks like a wasted top 10 pick. How can the Lions not get the ball to the tight end on 3rd down plays? No home playoff games and a monster NFC Playoff bracket take some luster away from a great season. Winning in Dallas restores some of that roar. I like facing the Cowboys more than going to Carolina. Big building in Dallas with no true home feel to it. Likely road to the Superbowl for the Lions: at Dallas, at Green Bay, at Seattle. Lions are playing with house money. Im betting they beat the Cowboys.
