Huge thanks to my brother Samir Ismael Traore for articulating his thoughts, which touch on what I am feeling now and have felt many years! Folks, I will not stop critiquing racism, race, whiteness, multiculturalism, and race-relations. If you dont like my commentaries on racism, race, and whiteness, and think informed comments on the matter is negative - which just shows that the person in question demands that the topic be centered around their desire to feel good, to not be challenged, to feel and be right, to be validated even when wrong - then without blinking an eye, unfriend me off your list. You can lash out all you want, you can feel uncomfortable, guilty, angry, frustrated, be pseudo-diplomatic all you want - those are your inner resistances and investments piercing through. If you are going to engage with me on this topic, do not expect a kumbaya campfire song filled with a lets all love one another and be happy! hippy approach to antiracism. Thank you, xoxox
