Hugo Arellano was a great addition to Manatee high and especially the Hurricane JROTC family. He was a soft spoken platoon sergeant that always mentioned that mornings official rifle practice, a state raider challenge champion, a bf to a young lady from another school, a brother to Challan, a son, and a hard worker. After getting his bike fixed this week from a small spill about a month ago, he was riding down Cortez around 106th street when an elderly man that did not see him pulled out and cut off Hugos lane. Unfortunately he was not able to avoid the accident and struck the side of the mans car and was thrown across the road and passed away at the scene. He was a loving kid that desereved better than this. Please keep Hugo Arellano and his family in your prayers as you enjoy the rest of your Sunday evening.
