Human history is full of fads. Climbing flag polls, listening to - TopicsExpress

Human history is full of fads. Climbing flag polls, listening to disco, sticking Garfields on car window, flash mobs, Harlem Shakes, and now #alsicebucketchallenge . Creating a viral phenomenon that actually has a noble intention is rare, so kudos to the ALS foundation for figuring out a viral way to draw attention to the disease and cure as well as raising over $60 million dollars in those efforts. Getting people to voluntarily show unity towards a charitable cause is not an easy feat. Personally Ive been dreading being nominated and having to face the combined strength of my two mortal enemies-Water and cold. Thanks Danny Just and Brian K. Harrison but it hit me that those with debilitating conditions like Lou Gehrigs disease face far greater, uncomfortable challenges every day. So I accept the nomination and participate as this fad starts to jump the shark. Research is always benefited by competition, so ill be donating to the John Paul II Medical Research Institute as the research efforts of JP2 and ALS Foundation should help accelerate efforts of both. I nominate former bosses & current bosses Jason Glass, Brad Buck, Tom Ahart, Anne Sullivan, Colleagues Phil Roeder, Phil Wise, Mike Cormack, childhood friends Nicolas Karate King Darius Alexander, and Haters Larry Twitty Jr.. Kerry BJ Moore Akil Ali Clark as well as Mike Sherman Dean Sherman Scott Hermanson and Megan McGee to join in humankind solidarity and donate as well to ALS, JP2 or some other worthy cause. #coolerthanapolarbearstoenails
