Human interaction is nothing more than a massively complex - TopicsExpress

Human interaction is nothing more than a massively complex mathematical equation. While this is true in a very literal sense, it is fine, for the purpose of what I would like to say, to treat it as an analogy. We are always trying to maximize one value or another, but none of us will ever know the whole equation so it isnt as simple as isolating specific variables and solving for X. So were left with trial and error, observation, and the other basic tools of the human mind to try to do the best we can. I think the most common example of this-- the one that most of us can relate to--is If I can increase my annual income, I expect my love life will improve. Even if this strategy works for one person, the same exact path may be disastrous for another. We can never understand all the variables involved. What I do know, however, is that once a particular value IS known, theres no reason to keep trying to manipulate it. People wonder why I antagonize people who are already foul tempered. The truth is that I dont. I just stop trying to alter a variable that my experience tells me is already set. Of course my Z would be raised if Person317Mood was greater than -19. But it isnt going to happen, so I am going to stop putting effort into improving it. In short, if youre a jackass all the time, I dont care what you want. You wont get it from me unless I have some other reason to provide it.
