Humanities and Social Sciences: The Heart of the Matter A Point of View In the context of the on-going crisis within the system of Higher Education in the country, one critical question, which, in my mind, needs to be immediately defined, is: "What should be the content, extent, methodology and basic ingredients of higher education?" Higher education, if it is to be meaningful, should be transformative and liberate students from their background and prejudices.
