Humans like to pay homage to a persons death. We cant know all of the deaths that occur if we dont physically know the people who die everyday. The only people who society mutually knows are celebrities, politicians, scientists, radio personalities ect. The day that Paul Walker died, I didnt possess knowledge of anyone else who died that day, and I certainly wasnt going to look for it. It was simply placed in my lap by the media, and I thought to myself, oh, thats sad. Just like when the news speaks of men, women, & children who are killed at the hands of murderers. The truth is, is that the only person I knew that died that day was Paul Walker, and I gave a shout out. Dont treat me like Im the media slave/sucker of satans cock because I said R.I.P. The what about all the other people argument is old and Ive heard it too many times. You arent blowing anyones mind with deep realizations. I dont give a damn about Paul Walker at the same rate I dont give one about the old lady down the street. I dont actually know these folks personally, but if I got word of the old bag dying, I would mourn her (just like Paul) for the sake of respect, but not on Facebook, because no one would care/know who she was, its too impersonal. Lots of people are aware of who Paul Walker is, so in turn its not surprising that a vast amount of facebook-dwellers are going to lend a couple of words. Facebook is an incredibly annoying place, we all know that, thats the nature of disagreement and personal opinion. How do you feel justified in telling people to mourn people who dont get the proper recognition, so to speak? Would you like me to run through the obituary and jack off all corpses? No. YOU pay homage to all the blue collar deaths, Ill stick to the ones Im aware of.
