Hunger Ends Here! Selma Art Guild and Art’s Revive Empty Bowls Project Please join us in an effort to raise awareness about hunger. When: Tuesday, September 24, 2013 Time: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Where: Art’s Revive Building 3 Church Street Selma, Alabama What is the Empty Bowls Project? The concept is simple: Potters, local artists and community members around Selma created handcrafted bowls to sell and raise funds to fight hunger. In exchange for a cash donation, guests are invited to a delicious, simple dinner of homemade soup and bread donated by members of the Selma community. Guests are invited to select a beautiful handcrafted bowl, make a donation, fill the bowl with soup, enjoy the meal and take home the bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. Please join the effort to raise awareness about hunger. Money raised through the event will be donated to Integrity Worldwide a local mission group working to end hunger. If you participated in the Selma Art Guild “Seize the Clay” workshops and made a bowl or if you made a donation for a bowl, please bring your bowl and join us for a meal of soup and bread. Note: If you are unsure about how much to donate, the approximate value of one bowl and the meal is $30.00. Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to fight hunger and was created by The Imagine Render Group (emptybowls.net).
