Hunterdon Humane Shelter Update : As most of you are aware NJSPCA filed Animal Cruelty charges against the Director of the Hunterdon Humane Shelter early in 2014 and the legal case is still slowly moving the court system. More important than the human and legal crap is the status of the Hunterdon Humane animals. The Bird that was in the Directors office for years, most times left alone was taken by a rescue and rehomed and is now well socialized. The livestock that was there were sent to the Barnyard Sanctuary and most but not all have been rehomed. There was a horse with a broken leg at the shelter that had been suffering for months that was saved and a pig that had lived in the shelter for years that was so obese that its skin grew over its eyes and blinded it. There were over two hundred cats in this shelter that should have had only fifty cats, so many cats and NO isolation room. The shelter also had four impossible to adopt dogs (long term dogs) that have amazingly now been adopted out to loving families!!!!!! When it is all about the animals anything can come true !!! Capt
