Hunting is so good for the animal population. Most hunters look for the trophy. Not all, but if it had not been for wild game in our country when our ancestors arrived on shore they would have perished. My father & brothers used to all go hunting for deer and elk in Idaho. My father & his friends made a trip or two into the Selway River in Idaho to hunt, Usually successfully.I know the success of the hunt is euphoric when the kill went well. Then the work of caring & protecting of this precious commodity starts. The packing carefully to preserve the meat is paramount to having a locker or freezer full for the winter to feed our families is the primary goal.
