Huntsville City Schools Partners With Appleton Learning To Provide New Afterschool Educational Opportunities to Rolling Hills and Lakewood Elementary Students: Superintendent Dr. Casey Wardynski, along with School Board President Laurie McCaulley and Appleton Learning C.E.O. Glenn Clayton announced a new partnership to bring an afterschool program to Rolling Hills and Lakewood Elementary entitled “Appleton Afterschool Learning Labs”. The program will focus on STEM classes that will enhance the student’s education and better prepare them to be “College and Career Ready.” The partnership between Huntsville City Schools and Appleton will enable 35 students from each school to attend the “Afterschool Learning Labs” program at a reduced rate. In addition, Huntsville City Schools will provide 30 need based opportunities per school at no charge. In order to be eligible, students must attend either Rolling Hills or Lakewood School and also meet the basic program eligibility requirements.
