Hurricane Gonzalo, as it tracks east, then sharply north, will blink up flying conditions for Canadian migratory birds. It will be close enough to the Atlantic Flyway where some, particularly smaller birds: fly catchers, wrens, varieties of warblers, etc - will opt to put down for the day. The best places to see them are points that jut the furthest seaward for approx. 25-50 miles of coastline. Its a unique opportunity as many northern seasonal migrants will not nest near human habitation, so you may see some very rare birds to your locale.I had some flocks visit my yard yesterday during the heavy wind that were different.
