Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Sunday expressed shock and sorrow over the mysterious death of a Kashmiri youth, Pervaiz Ahmad Teeli and suspected the hand of communal elements and secret agencies behind the brutal killing. In a statement Geelani aid that though people in Kashmir with their unique hospitality greet visitors and Yatris and take care. “However, instead of all this India in return sends the dead bodies of our youth, and in 2013, this is the third such incident when a dead body of a youth killed in mysterious circumstances was returned,” he said. The Hurriyat (G) chairman urged for inquiry by some impartial organization and added that family of the deceased had informed police in time and sought their help. “However, police did not care about it and no effective action in this regard was initiated.” While criticizing the role played by police he said that they take swift action “when it comes to Kashmiri youth particularly those following religious norms and against pro- freedom youth.” “The family members of the missing youth were told that they are helpless and cannot provide any assistance or help,” Geelani said and added Telli had a beard over his face and was following Islamic norms. “It is apprehended that intelligence agencies on suspicion might have taken into custody and killed him. Whosoever with a beard on his face is treated as terrorist and put behind bars,” he claimed. Geelani expressed his heartfelt sympathy with the bereaved family and added “we are with them in this hour of grief and seek forgiveness for the deceased and endurance and persistence for the bereaved family
