Hurriyat (G) Terms Imprisonment of Shakeel Bhat as ‘illegal, unjustified’ While terming the continuous imprisonment of DPM leader Shakeel Ahmad Bhat of Fatah Kadal even after his fresh PSA stands quashed by the High Court as “illegal and unjustified,” Hurriyat Conference (G) Wednesday demanded his immediate release. “The leader has been detained dozens of times under this black law PSA and this time he was arrested with the announcement of election drama like the other pro-freedom leaders. The other pro-freedom leaders were although detained under article 107 and 150 but the Shakeel sahib was once again slapped with PSA and instead of local jails he was sent to Udhampur jail,” Ayaz Akbar spokesman of Hurriyat (G) said in a statement. He said that the High Court quashed his detention last week and rejected all allegations leveled against him.
