Hwy 36 from Lyons to Estes opens today. We realize that its tempting to ride but it may be wise to stay off of 36 on a bicycle. Where they rebuilt the road, it is very narrow and there is zero shoulder (often with the creek immediately below). There will be a ton of gawkers and construction traffic on it as well. Good news is that the Apple Valley fruit loop will be good to go. Careful on Apple Valley, too, though. Water and sewer construction will start on it shortly. The Old South St Vrain Fruit Loop is toast. Old South is closed not even 1/2 way up and the bridge at the end is gone. Hwy 7 is still closed.
