Hypothetical for everyone and interested to see the response. Seen a lot of posts about how Embiids back is not a question. However, what if both the cavs and bucks pass on him at 1 and 2 (taking Wiggins and Parker) so we naturally take him at 3. Who do we take at 10? (under the assumption we dont make some move for the Kings pick) To me it would be awesome to see the whole Twin Towers concept appear in philly, however who is gonna score for us then? I can see McDermott or Stauskas becoming decent scorers (with the right coaching and role playing) MCW is gonna be a great starter and piece to the puzzle for years to come, Embiid should be able to put points up and with Noel we will be very tough to score on. The problem is I dont see someone who is going to step up in the 4th and lead a come back, or close out a game. I like Young from Kentucky. BIG up side, has a nice stroke, aggressive and a true athlete who is willing to play defense. May take a bit longer to develop which is why most 76ers fans have been staying away from him, but we are a super young team. We have time. Leaves us like this PG: MCW SG: Young (James) SF: Young (Thad) PF: Embiid C: Noel Again, very tough defensive line up. Thad doesnt match up all the well at the three but with those two down low he will have plenty of help. If we can grab a decent second round shooter, or if we do get the #8 pick maybe then grab McDermott. What are some other solutions? Interested to see what yall think and feel free to let me know if you disagree with my evaluation on any of these guys!
