We are currently mobile and Takiwira (Dargaville) based for the interim, as I felt the pull to immerse myself within a small community. To observe, listen ā manawa, ā whatu and ā wairua, with an intent to awhi using my readily available skills. My time here in Aotearoa has had me ask myself who am I here for? and are my skills needed? Do Whanau need a tapuhi, when systems (hospitals, midwives, doctors) are already in place and readily available to them? lots to contemplate Whanau.
