HỘI THẢO DÂN TỘC NHẠC HỌC CHÂU Á - THÁI BÌNH DƯƠNG Địa điểm: Đại học Mahasarakham, Thái Lan Ngày: 7-9 tháng 1, 2014 Vui lòng xem thông báo mời tham dự dưới đây: Second CALL FOR PAPERS The 17th International Conference of the Asia-Pacific Society for Ethnomusicology (APSE) College of Music, Mahasarakham University, Thailand January 7-9, 2014 The College of Music, Mahasarakham University (MSU), Mahasarakham, Thailand is delighted to host the 17th International Conference of the Asia-Pacific Society for Ethnomusicology (APSE) on January 7-9, 2014. Theme : Traditional Music in the Globalizing World: Preservation, Transmission, and Dissemination Dates to Remember: September 30, 2013 Deadline for submission of proposals with a title and an abstract. October 15, 2013 Notification of accepted papers. November 30, 2013 Submission of finished papers. December 15, 2013 Conference Committee will send out the Conference Program. Drafts of Papers and Publication of the Proceedings of the Conference A CD with all submitted papers will be distributed on the first day of the conference. The Conference Committee will publish the papers as Proceedings or as a Journal. If you wish to submit your paper for publication, please send an email to the committee expressing your consent. Papers will be peer-reviewed. Format for Abstract Proposals and Draft Paper 1. Abstracts in English, of not more than 350 words. 2. Papers in English, not more than 20 pages long or approximately 8000 words, double-spaced. For those who wish to submit in an Asian language, an English translation of the paper will be required and must be submitted together with the original paper. 3. Submission by email in Word Document. Please use the Proposal Form below for email submission of abstracts. 4. Please send abstracts, papers and inquiries to apse.msu.2014@gmail Presentation Formats: 1. Each paper will be allotted 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for questions and discussion. 2. Four consecutive blocks of two, three and four sessions each day are planned, broken up by snacks and lunch breaks. Languages: English is the official language of the conference. Conference Charges: 1. All participants (except the Executive Board members and invited speakers) will be responsible for their own airfare, and room and board. 2. All participants (except the Executive Board members and invited speakers) will pay the conference fee of Baht 1000 or US $35, on the first day of the conference, January 7, 8 to 9 am.
